Nyesom Wike, minister of the FCT, has declared that he is powerless without the support of his constituents

Wike claimed that a politician’s career was over when he lost support from his constituents.

The ex-governor of Rivers State has stated that he will not let the smears against him affect his quality of life.

On Tuesday in Abuja, while hosting South-South leaders in his office, Wike emphasized the importance of doing the right thing.

Wike said, “We all want to keep our political framework, and we all want to stay politically relevant.

Is it not the way your government is set up? Do you plan on letting somebody completely sideline you? Everyone has their own roots. If you take my base, am I not politically irrelevant?”

According to rumors, Wike and Sim Fubara, governor of Rivers State, have fallen out of favor.

This led to some lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly attempting to impeach Fubara.

It is believed that Wike’s allies in the legislature were behind the efforts to impeach Fubara. To keep my political footing, I need my base – Wike
