Chukwueze took part in Wednesday’s training session after returning to his base the day before.
Some of the winger’s teammates applauded him.
Manager Stefano Pioli also embraced him in recognition of his outstanding performance in the competition.
Chukwueze and Nigeria finished in second place at Cote d’Ivoire.
The 25-year-old appeared in six games for Nigeria throughout the competition.
