The EFCC has banned any undercover activities that take place after dark

Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has issued a directive prohibiting nighttime sting operations within the organization.

This conforms to the recently revised policies on suspect arrest and bail.

On Wednesday, he issued the order in Abuja after the Ibadan Zonal of the Commission arrested 69 people in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on suspicion of engaging in cyber fraud. Many of the suspects properly profiled by the command have been freed, and the remaining suspects will be profiled as soon as possible.

In a statement, the commission promised to carry out its duties in accordance with the law at all times.
