The 44 Centre officers who were organizing the 2023 Hajj exercise in their various local government areas have been terminated from their positions by Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State. This decision was made by Yusuf.

This information was provided in a statement that was sent to twiscoloaded and signed by Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, who serves as his Press Secretary.

According to the statement, the Governor had interim officers take their position in order to better manage the Hajj operations that were already underway in the state.

He did, however, give the newly appointed officers orders to accept their responsibilities and report to the newly appointed Director-General of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board for additional instructions at the Board’s Headquarters.

According to the twiscoloaded, just a few hours after being sworn in as Governor, Amb. Mohammad Danbatta was fired from his position, and Alhaji Laminu Rabiu was nominated to take his place as the new Director-General of the Board.

This news comes just a few hours before the airlift of intending pilgrims from the state is scheduled to begin.
