View the Reasons Why Abramovich Failed To Purchase Arsenal Football Club

Roman Abramovich, the former owner of Chelsea, expressed interest in purchasing Arsenal before taking over their London rivals.

This information was made public in the Wall Street writers Joshua Robinson and Jonathan Clegg’s book “The Club.”

It is reported that Abramovich employed the Swiss bank UBS in 2003 to examine the economies of English Premier League football clubs.

The Russian oligarch, on the other hand, was informed that Arsenal were “categorically not for sale.”

Abramovich also spoke with the owners of Tottenham Hotspur, but no agreement was reached.

After a 19-year reign, the billionaire eventually settled in West London and acquired Chelsea.

After he was subject to sanctions as a result of the conflict between his country and Ukraine, he was replaced by American millionaire Todd Boehly.
