The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Kogi State Command, would deploy 3,000 soldiers to ensure the safety of the gubernatorial election on November 11.
Ahmad Gandi, the state commandant, made the announcement to reporters on Wednesday in Lokoja.
He assured that “the Command has concluded plans to give adequate coverage and no stone will be left unturned to ensure that the election is hitch-free.”
Gandi further mentioned that since he took office in the state, he has prosecuted 24 cases and obtained convictions in more than 90% of them.
