The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Birnin Kebbi affirmed Governor Nasir Idris’ election as the legitimately elected governor of Kebbi State on Thursday.
The panel, presided over by Justice Ofem I. Ofem, issued its decision on Thursday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had proclaimed Idris of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election, according to DAILY POST.
However, General Aminu Bande (retd) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, filed a 722-page appeal disputing Governor Idris’ election in the March 18 election.
