Candidates for the position of constable in 2022 who made it to the shortlist should be aware of imposters, according to the Nigeria Police Force.

While speaking to applicants at the Police Officers’ Mess in Bompai, Kano, State Commissioner of Police CP. Mohammed Usaini Gumel issued the warning.

He warned the hopefuls that con artists pose as police recruitment board members in order to con unsuspecting people out of their money.

“Some devious persons are parading themselves as members of the Police Recruitment Board. The Police Command is well prepared to arrest and prosecute anyone found committing any crime around the recruitment exercise,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of following the orders of the Inspector-General of Police and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, specifically on the stringent adherence to the regulations for candidate screening.
