The music curriculum was devised by Don Jazzy and I, Wande Coal

Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, better known by his stage name Wande Coal, is a Nigerian singer. He has stated that he and Don Jazzy, his former record label owner and producer, developed “the syllabus of music.”

He claimed that many individuals read what he and Don Jazzy did, took inspiration from it, and then produced their own sounds.

The ‘Bumper 2 Bumper’ singer made this assertion in a recent interview with Lagos’ Cool FM.

He asserted that it was acceptable for the young people to imitate what he and Don Jazzy accomplished.

“Me and Don Jazzy have always had a connection,” he stated. He is aware of my constant enthusiasm. I never lose my enthusiasm, even in the studio. I said, “Hey, let’s make this sound.” He also takes care to kill it.

“In that sense, the relationship is symbiotic. I believe that Don Jazzy and I wrote the music curriculum. Many others studied the music syllabus we created and then took the necessary courses to build their own. And that’s what’s taking place right now.

As long as we are still here using the sounds of the new generation to create magic, there is no issue.

Before parting ways in 2013, Wande Coal and Don Jazzy collaborated at the now-defunct Mo’hits Record and Mavin.
