Wike promotes Ikwerre to the position of Special Assistant

Ikwere native Michael O. Chinda has been named the Senior Special Assistant on Land, Urban, and Regional Planning by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.

Chinda received his Bachelor of Science in 1987 from Rivers State University of Science and Technology and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Port Harcourt.

From 1989 to 2004, Chinda served as a Senior Lands Officer for the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing. He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.

In addition to his time spent in the Rivers State House of Assembly (2011–2023), he was the Secretary of the Obio Akpor Local Government Council (2008–2010).

The FCT Director of Press, Anthony Ogunleye, issued a statement highlighting the importance of land and urban planning to the growth of any city.

Chinda is qualified to handle the intricacies and challenges of these fields because to his years of experience and education.
