Lawan’s mother’s ashes were interred in a cemetery in Yobe, where she had previously lived

Hajiya Halima Ibrahim, the mother of Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, the former president of the Senate, was laid to rest on Sunday in Gashu’a, Bade Local Government Area, Yobe State. She lived to be 86 years old.

Governor of Borno State, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Idi Barde Gubana, and emirs were among the hundreds of dignitaries from within and outside the state who attended the burial prayer of the deceased.

Senator Lawan expressed his gratitude to his friends, family, and coworkers through his media adviser Ezrel Tabiowo.

The family wishes to express its profound appreciation to everyone who has reached out to them to express sympathy and support at this tragic time. Lawan added, “Your love and support have given me strength, and they are eternal.”
